Teddy Tubs

Organized by Teddy Tubs' ACL Surgery

After Surgery

Dr. Powell and I coming out to see Jim and Karen. So tired!

Hello, baroo!! So, my surgery was today. The vet said that everything went well, no complications. All I need is lots of bed rest and my meds.

Resting on my comfy bed.

I was so happy to see Jim and Karen, but I was too sleepy to do anything. They carried me and made sure I was okay. Still tired though.

This is what my left leg looks like. Ouchies, baroo!

My leg feels naked and I'm not allowed to lick it, but I guess it's for the best. Can't wait to grow my fur back. It's chilly outside, baroo!

Wearing my cone and posing in pics with Artemis Clyde Frog.

Jim and Karen cleared out my crate and put my comfy bed inside. It's so cozy in there. Artemis Clyde Frog agrees too!

Jim making sure I'm comfortable.

Nuu! I'm gonna sneeze if you scratch my nose!

Thank you! I'm gonna take a nap now!

I should rest now though. I have a long way to go until I can run. My next check-up is in two weeks to remove the sutures. Jim and Karen supply me with pettings, noms noms, and many belly rubs. I can only go outside to do my business, but if you gotta go ... ya gotta go!

Oh yeah! The vet took my picture after I woke up. I was happy to see Artemis Clyde Frog and Blankie.

Thank you so much for all your help. 'Til the next update!
Update, baroooo!

I'm helping Jim Le write thank you e-mails!

Thank you, everyone for your hooman monies baroo. My pets say that my surgery is on Monday. As scared as I am about the surgery, I am very grateful for your help. My corgi senses say everything is going to be okay though. Jim and Karen always make sure I get all their pillows in my favorite colors: grey and gray.

Jim is comfy to sit on while he's working (for me)!

I can't wait to run around in our favorite park and play with all my friends. We're 2/3 of the way to our goal so far. This is too much for one corgi to express gratitude, but I have Jim and Karen to help. Many lickings for them and many baroos for you! Thank you all again!!

'Til next time! Barooooooooo!
Skip a Latte and Make a Doggie and His Pets Happy
My name is Teddy Tubs, Pembroke Welsh Corgi. As a Corgi, I run obsessively - or rather, I used to run. I tore my ACL (not sure how) and my pets Jim Le and Karen Aquino are beside themselves with sadness. They carry me up and down stairs, picks me up so I can sit on the sofa, and follow me as I sink into depression. My doctor says he can operate, but I'm not covered on their insurance. Jim is just starting post-college life and can't afford much (especially after having his car vandalized, probably by doggie haters, multiple times) and Karen is a full time student.

BUT

- it's Christmas time,
- people drink too much coffee,
- doggies aren't covered in President Obama's health care reform

SO:

I figure if a couple hundred doggie lovers gave a few dollars each in the cause of doggie happiness, I could get my operation and live happily ever after. Why donate to the big anonymous Humane Society when you can help a specific, adorable and thankful Corgi! So instead of a gingerbread latte tomorrow, make a Corgi (and his faithful companions Jim and Karen) happy! You can always get a gingerbread latte the next morning. In appreciation, I will bark once for each dollar. Tell your friends!
